The Domain
I had wanted a domain for absolutely ages and ages, and in October 2001 I finally got my mom to agree she'd pay for half of it, so I could afford it. Then came the hard part: thinking of a name. At first I wanted to get something like purpleproductions.net (the name of my site collective), but I realized this domain name was something I was sort of stuck with for a long time, and I was growing tired of that name already. So I decided I wanted something different. It took me a long time to decide, but I finally choose for nothing-less.net because it's from a quote from one of my favorite songs ever, Why Do I by Krezip. That quote itself is something I try to live by, I can't be reminded of it enough. So far, I'm still really loving my domain name. :D
I bought my domain and webspace at HostRocket.com, and I was hosted by them for two years. At first they were great, but during the last year of being hosted by them, I had nothing but problems, the support staff was very slow with replying, and even downright rude at times. In November 2003 I moved to DreamHost, who were really great. Big big big big thanks go to Beth, for hosting me on her Reseller Package. You saved me, girl. :) In February 2003, I moved to my own server, and I now host this domain myself via Twistybot.
The layouts
This site is skinnable. That means that I have created several different layouts for this site, and you can choose which one you want. If you go to Skins, and choose the one you want, a cookie will be set on your computer, and you will get to see all of my site in that skin. If after a while you want another skin, just go back to Skins and choose a different one. A new cookie will be set, and you will view everything in that skin. Easy peasy.
